REPUBLIC SERVICE CURBSIDE RECYCLING

NOTE: 2024 Curbside Recycle Schedule will be changing...........we are moving our Township to a TUESDAY schedule and going to an every 4 WEEK schedule instead of once per month.  Please visit salemtownship.org to view the dates on the calendar on the right side of the Home Page.

Pickup is the 4th Wednesday of each month. It is recommended that the carts be set out the night before as pickup times can vary month to month.  In the event of a major holiday falling on the week of our recycle pickup, the pickup will be Thursday instead.

Accepting: newspapers, grocery bags, clear glass, empty aerosol cans, plastic bottles and jugs. Please rinse food containers. We also take magazines, phone books, flattened cardboard, newspapers, office paper and junk mail. We now can take household batteries placed in zipper lock plastic bags.

Private drives and seasonal roads (unpaved) will not get pick up in front of their house. You will need to put recycle bin at your nearest crossroad.

If you have any questions about the recycling program, please contact Kathy VanderKolk at the Township office, or Rosemary Graham at Allegan County at 269-673-5415.
