Park

There are no reservations for the Park, it is first come first serve

As you walk around the park, you will find a chin-up bar, a vertical climb, a step-up, a sit-up bench, parallel bars and a balance beam. This is all possible through generous donations from area businesses, residents, and a mini-TAG grant from Allegan County Community Foundation. Chris LaRoche, a Boy Scout with Troop 96 in Hopkins, has added these exercise stations. We also now have frisbee golf thanks to Zach Woodwyk, with Troop 147 in Holland. We are thankful these young men chose our park for their projects.

Salem Township Park has a lot to offer our residents. We have playground equipment for the kids, plus a tennis court, basketball court and sand volleyball. The soccer field and baseball diamond are a multi-purpose field. We also have a picnic shelter with grills for cooking. Do not forget to walk our nature trail; it is 3/4 of a mile long and winds through the park with trees and benches for your enjoyment. No reservations are taken for the picnic shelter, or the courts, or the fields. It is on a first come first serve basis.

Our park was established by a Grant through the Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources., Salem Township funds, area businesses and individual donations. If you are interested in making a donation to continue the expansion of activities, please call our Township office. We wish to thank all of those who have made our park possible, especially Wolverine Power Company for their continued support.
