Pickup is the 4th Wednesday of each month. It is recommended that the bins be set out the night before as pickup times can vary month to month. In the event of a major holiday falling on the week of our recycle pickup, the pickup will be Thursday instead.
Accepting: newspapers, grocery bags, clear glass, empty aerosol cans, plastic bottles and jugs. Please rinse food containers.
We also take magazines, phone books, flattened cardboard, newspapers, office paper and junk mail. We now can take household batteries placed in zipper lock plastic bags.
Recycling materials no longer need to be sorted. Residents can no longer use any type of container to place materials in. Residents must provide additional bins that are similar in size to your Republic bin. Rubbermaid style totes work great for this. You may also purchase an additional bin from the Township for $7.00
Private drives and seasonal roads (unpaved) will not get pick up in front of their house. You will need to put recycle bin at your nearest crossroad.
If you have any questions about the recycling program, please contact Ben Williams at 269-673-5415.
